Tlkin

What is tlkin short for?

Talking

You might see tlkin used to mean "talking" in a variety of contexts. For example, a friend who is talking on the phone, and thus can't chat with you right now, might send "bz tlkin w/my mom, chat later." Or, a coworker sharing office gossip might say "they're tlkin about downsizing before the end of the year."

Tlkin is an expansion of tlk; both abbreviations strip talk's arguably-extraneous "a." Talking, of course, is the present progressive version of talk, used to denote that someone is speaking (or otherwise chatting) at this very moment.

Example

I'll IM you in a little while; tlkin on the phone right now
Cool, I'll be around

A woman who wants to know what you're tlkin about
