Sticky

What is a sticky in Halo?

A plasma grenade that sticks to objects

If you polled Halo gamers on their favorite weapons, the original plasma "sticky" would be near the top. A big part of their attraction is that players can stick them to objects and, more importantly, other players, resulting in entertaining kills.

For example, a Halo gamer may brag about a kill, "I jumped and threw a sticky down a level, and it landed perfectly on Jake. It was so dope!" Or, you might lament, "killed by a sticky. nooooooooo!!!"

In Halo, the Covenant developed the sticky plasma grenade, also known as the "Type-1 Antipersonnel Grenade" and "Anskum-pattern Firebomb. Since its introduction in 2001 when Halo was released, the term has made its way into other FPS games, such as Call of Duty and Fortnite.
