A stack is a Minecraft term that refers to the maximum amount of items a player can hold in a slot in Minecraft. The largest amount of items that can be held is 64.
Not all items can be stacked to 64 or stacked at all. Items that can be stacked to 16 and no more are eggs, snowballs, and enderpearls. Weapons (except arrows), armor, and tools can't be stacked at all.
