ROBL

What does ROBL stand for?

Rolling on back laughing

Someone who sends you ROBL wants you to imagine them rolling on their back and laughing - likely as a result of a humorous message you sent. This acronym is similar to the much-more-common ROFL.

Of course, the person who sent you ROBL likely is not actually lying prone on the floor and rolling back and forth. Instead, ROBL is a bit of hyperbole, sent to let you know that your joke (or other humorous message) landed.
