Fye

When sharing something entertaining online or in a text message, you can preface it with FYE. The acronym is a variation of the more common FYI acronym but refers to something the recipient will find amusing, like a funny video or a trailer to an anticipated movie.

Examples when you would use FYE

If you find something really cool or outstanding, you can describe it as "fye." It's pronounced like "fire," but if you pronounce it without the "r" like a Bostonian.

It is unclear who coined the term, but it became popular in the mid-2010s. Most people use it online or in-person, similarly to the tight and dope terms.

For example, if you think an outfit is fantastic, you might tell your friend, "Gurl, that fit is fye!!!" Or, if you love a movie, you might remark, "NGL, that movie was fye. I'm shaking."
